Two recent campaigns, with formats, weight and how they were built.

• Blackroll Recovery Boots 2.0. Seven formats for the German market, each one laid out from scratch rather than scaled. One animation codebase, seven banners that stand on their own.
• MyParcel Ga Verder. Eight display formats and four social formats, each in four messages. Forty-eight units out of one build.

Hey! I'm Dave. 👋

After years working at various agencies, I now work as a full-time freelancer under D2 studio. I create lightning-fast, pixel-perfect digital creatives. In most campaigns the banners are the afterthought. Not here.

Previously at Red Urban, Bannerboy, Men in Green & De Franse Kamer.

Using your supplied design, I build and animate HTML5 banners, social ads and DOOH creatives. All hand-coded, no GWD or Edge. I can quote full design separately.

That means: small file sizes, well under what ad servers allow, fast load times, and super smooth animations.

On top of that, I build my own AI tooling for production: variants, versioning and the repetitive steps.

• Text Splitter. Split text layers into separate word or line layers while preserving layout. Save hours of manual work in motion and banner production.
• Smart Object Relink. Scan every open document for linked Smart Objects, flag missing links, and relink dozens of layers at once by exact filename.

Personal Projects

Two products I designed, built and run myself. Both are live on their own domain, with real users.

• Somnia ex machina. An endless stream of AI-generated dreams. You type a dream, Claude reads it, fal.ai renders the video with sound, and minutes later it is playing in the public stream. Second place at the TAG Creative Hackathon 2026, now running in production.
• Video2Sprite. Turns video into a CSS-animatable sprite sheet for HTML5 banners. Everything runs in your own browser through WebCodecs, so your files never leave your machine. Exports the sheet, stills, a JSON manifest and ready-made snippets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you need from me to get started?

A briefing, the design (PSD or Figma), assets such as logos and fonts, and your timeline. You will receive a plan and a quote within a day.

How fast is a banner set ready?

A standard banner set is usually production-ready within 72 hours once all required assets are in. Rush jobs are often possible by arrangement.

Which ad servers do you work with?

Google DoubleClick, Sizmek, Weborama and Adform, among others. All banners are hand-coded with GSAP and meet the platform specs.

What does an HTML5 banner cost?

A master banner from €350, then it scales per extra size. Rich media such as HPTOs and interscrollers is custom work, quoted separately.

Is design included?

No, you supply the design and I build and animate it. Light versioning is included. Full design is quoted separately.

Do you work remote or on-site?

I work from Amsterdam, fully remote for clients worldwide. On-site at agencies in the region is possible by arrangement.
